In order to master the challenges of everyday life during the COVID-19 pandemic, we all - whether private households, companies or public institutions – must rely on masks. The demand continues to be enormous. Unscrupulous sellers make offers that come with high prices or inferior quality; meanwhile the effectiveness of homemade masks remains uncertain.
Everyone deserves access to a well-constructed mask
As an employer, we ourselves need masks in the future, but we are also thinking beyond internal company needs. Accordingly, in cooperation with our textile partner, we are producing high-quality face masks and offering them at a fair price. The Hohenstein Institute in Germany has tested the masks. So we want to make this essential protection more readily available for everyone - in a quality level that can be trusted – while also giving other companies the chance to best equip their employees.

For ARCTIC founder Magnus Huber, taking this step in the current situation is a matter close to the heart: “Everyone should have access to a reasonable mask. With a filter performance (BFE) of 99%, we exceed the strict requirements of EN 14683 for type II medical masks. This means that our mask only lets through half as many germs in a stress test as is allowed for this standard.

High Quality 3-Layer-Design

The mask consists of two outer layers of fleece, which are liquid-repellent and particularly kind to the skin. ARCTIC uses a fine meltblown fabric as the middle layer, which is particularly suitable as a filter fabric due to its fine structure. This 3-layer design also makes it comfortable to wear, with a demonstrably high breathability.

Not all masks are the same; the effectiveness of homemade fabric masks, for example, is uncertain. The ideal combination of comfort and security can only be offered by a quality-tested product. That’s why we have had our face masks tested and certified by the German Hohenstein Institute for effectiveness and hygiene.
