Meet the ARCTIC Apprentices: Introducing Henri & Dominik!

For several years now, we at ARCTIC have been able to offer an apprenticeship in the field of marketing communication. We provide our apprentices with a versatile learning experience that includes a mixture of theory and hands on experience, but the practice comes first. They get insight into relevant areas of international marketing and commerce while also getting a taste of professional life. But they’re not the only ones who benefit: our apprentices have greatly enriched our team with their hard work and unique perspectives. Read on to get to know them better.

ARCTIC Trainees

Name: Henri Faust

School: Otto-Bennemann-Schule Brunswick

What I’m studying: Salesman for marketing-communication

Apprenticeship year: 3

The most interesting project I have been involved in at ARCTIC:  It was interesting to experience the relaunch of our website and gain insight into the many aspects of this process (even if there were frustrating dead ends in between!).

The most fun thing I've done so far: Participating in various trade fairs such as Dreamhack or the API Home & Business fair and the frequent team evenings and events (pre-Corona...)

Goals for the future: Continue to be a part of the marketing team

A few own words:

Hi, my name is Henri and I live in Brunswick. I have been very interested in computers since my school years, but I decided to study to become a teacher, a course of study which I dropped out of after a short period. At that time, I was already in earning my pocket money at ARCTIC in the warehouse and became friends with some of the employees. After dropping out of my studies, ARCTIC offered me a apprenticeship, which I accepted happily and a little proudly - after all, I was the first apprentice ever. During my apprenticeship, I got to know all the departments I didn't know yet, visited different trade fairs, and built up and deepened a lot of further technical know-how.  I even reconnected with my former neighbour from childhood again, and now we are (apprentice) colleagues.

My apprenticeship is coming to an end and the exams are just a few weeks away. The excitement is rising, but I am positive that I want to stay on after my training and have already received an offer to do so.
